About Us

The Pittsburgh Elite Soccer Club has grown from the players and coaches who have been part of Hotspurs West for more than 25-years.  The coaches have been providing quality training, developing players and sending numerous players to the collegiate level.  Most recently, our '21 graduating senior Sydney Stahl, and '21 senior Hanna Wagner, will be attending Lockhaven and Clarion respectively to continue their soccer careers at the collegiate level.

Bill Pfeifer is our longstanding director of coaching.  Bill has been coaching soccer for more than 25-years and he knows something about winning.  Bill is the all-time wins leader among girls soccer coaches in Pennsylvania with more than 435 career wins.  More than winning, Bill knows how to motivate, develop and make soccer fun for his players.  Bill's training sessions force players to increase their speed-of-play, improve awareness as well as field vision.  These skills greatly assist our teams in meeting our Club mission of player development and possession based team soccer.

Brooke Mangis is former head coach at Seton LeSalle High School for 10-years.  Brooke also coached under Bill at Moon High School as an assistant coach for another 5-years.  Brooke has trained and played soccer her entire career in Western PA.  She is a former Division 1 player at Duquesne University.  Brooke brings her knowledge and skills to our players for improved awareness and soccer knowledge.  Brooke has been coaching in the club for the past 10-years.  Brooke has spent the last year reviewing the VEO videos on every match and offering the players feedback in order to improve their game while living out of state.

Tom Clubley was born and raised in Leeds, UK.  He has played soccer his entire life and holds various coaching licenses.  Tom is currently the middle school coach at Pine Richland and has been coaching in the club for more than 2-years.  Tom brings a high paced and energetic approach to the training sessions while focusing on possession based play.

Sara Hochmuth has coached youth soccer since 2015 and specializes in player development and instilling patience, determination, discipline, teamwork, and exceptional performance in match play. Currently entering her first season with Pittsburgh Elite Soccer Club, she is also an assistant coach with the Olympic Development Program (ODP) where she has had 6 successful seasons so far. Sara holds a USSF D License and is the former Vice President of the Hopewell Soccer Club. In 2018, Sara was awarded the PA West Girls Competitive Coach of the Year Award.
